Meet The Doctors


John Stephen Weir, D.D.S.

Dr. Steve Weir is a lifelong Memphian, with an undergraduate degree from Baylor University, followed by dental studies at University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.  After practicing general dentistry for four years, he pursued the specialty of periodontics with studies at University of Texas, Houston.

Dr. Weir has practiced periodontics and implant dentistry in one location since 1986, where he continues to provide exceptional care to his patients. He maintains the highest levels of accreditation and pursues ongoing education in order to stay abreast of the latest trends in periodontics. Dr. Weir is a member of the American academy of Periodontics, Tennessee Dental association, Memphis Dental Society, and Spear Study Club.

His free time is spent enjoying time with family, attending church, hunting and recreational farming.


Anna Claire Compton, D.D.S., M.S.D.

Originally from Jonesboro, Arkansas, Dr. Anna Claire Compton attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in History. She then attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and upon graduating continued her dental education in periodontal residency at the University of Tennessee. During her residency, Dr. Compton was awarded Research Volunteer of the Year as well as the Excellence in Research Award for her study on fibroblasts and cannabinoids.

Dr. Compton joined the practice in 2022 and looks forward to providing honest, high quality care to her patients by offering a full scope of traditional periodontal treatments, as well as implant and peri-implantitis therapies.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, painting, and cheering on the Razorbacks. She and her family, attend St. George's Episcopal Church in Germantown.
